Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6762, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built in Juniata as an M-1A during July of 1930, rebuilt as an M-1B in April of 1946, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. Note the trainphone apparatus on the tender's deck. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (Gift from Brad Mann.) |
