PRR, View from the 24th Street Bridge, 1965
Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1965. Shown here is the view from the 24th Street Bridge. At the left is the Pennsylvania Railroad's SLOPE Tower. In the center are the PRR's mainline tracks leading into downtown Altoona. Parked under the six-track signal bridge are several maintenance-of-way bunk cars. The large structures at the right mark the location of the 12th Street Car Shops. Brush Mountain dominates the distance. (#1 of 44)
