Description:
Burlington Northern Railroad 233495 at Cicero, Illinois on August 16, 1982, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. As far as I can tell, this car was originally a CB&Q car in the 47790-47799 number series, classed as XM-4 on the CB&Q. This series of cars featured Transco sides with an unusually large number of closely spaced vertical ribs and individual steel panels mounted on the sides to accommodate the lettering. It has a seven foot door and an eight foot door equipped with a grain door.
