Into the climb.
Title:  Into the climb.
Description:  I went out to take the recycling to the transfer station, only to find they had changed their hours, now closing at 1530 instead of 1600. Not wanting to waste a trip, I rode up to Davidson Rd to check the signal. Sure enough, high green. I camped out, knowing there would be a southbound soon. Ten minutes later, the Q KCNL popped into view, working hard with a GE/EMD combo coming up from Sleepy Hollow.

Into the sun
Title:  Into the sun
Description:  The Q train now pops into full sun as it gets out of the trees that make a tunnel for trains rolling south here. The Q train pops into the sun, lugging 64 freight, 13 stack platforms, 8 articulated auto racks, and three standard racks. Theres more color in the trees this year than usual, making for a quite appealing photo.

Wide view
Title:  Wide view
Description:  The wide view as the train approachews the Davidson Rd crossing shows the tunnel of trees, and the now brown, mid fall grass, another appealing feature of the fall.

No siding
Title:  No siding
Description:  The Q train rolls past where the switch was for the siding that served the Cobb feed mill, which is apparently no longer a KCS customer

Got dinked
Title:  Got dinked
Description:  Those puffy white clouds that give us the Kodachrome sky can also give us fits. One of them drifted over the sun as the Q train rolled past my location at Country Club Rd. Oh well...
