The southbound leg is to the left and the NB to the right just visible behind a small tree over the stop sign. U can also see the catenary supports from the Pensy electrified days. The bridge handles just two tracks. Here there are 4. From the staton platform the 1st one with wood ties handles MARC and low speed Amtrak. The two center tracks are the high speed mains with concrete. The far track is the lead into the Amtrak MOw facility about a mile north from this point. /DL |

I have to hand it to the State of Maryland. They have done a great job of building out the MARC rail system stations. They have either fixed up the old stations or as in several cases they've built very nice new stations at several locations. The Perryville station has a small RR Museum in it which is supposed to be open on Sunday afternoons. On the several Sundays I have visited the it has not been open. /DL |
